Cytomegalovirus (CMV) is a widespread virus that can infect anyone, regardless of age or state of health. It is a virus belonging to the herpesvirus family. Once a person is infected with CMV, the virus remains in their body for the rest of their life. The virus is generally inactive in healthy individuals, but can also reactivate.
Under the direction of Dr. Isabelle Boucoiran, our clinical research team is made up of experts from the Centre hospitalier universitaire Sainte-Justine, the Centre hospitalier universitaire de Québec, the Centre hospitalier universitaire de Sherbrooke and the Moderna pharmaceutical company. In addition, we collaborate with Héma-Québec and work closely with an advisory committee.
